Parking has gotten a lot easier. With the new FordPass system, drivers can know search for, book, and pay for parking spaces before anyone else snatches it up, saving plenty time and confusion.

In May, Ford took another leap into the future by incorporating the new FordPass system with Sync Connect into its new Escape lineup.

The 2017 Ford Fusion received a subtle facelift, and some boosts to crash safety over the previous model year. While Ford's engineers were busy working toward this redesign, they were also plugging away at the newest addition to the Fusion family -- the Fusion Sport.

The plug-in hybrid version, the 2017 Fusion Energi, has a class-topping 610-mile driving range. Everyone loves a sustainable, fuel-efficient vehicle, but people also want to know that it's safe.

The 2017 Ford Fusion just received the highest possible rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, a Top Safety Pick+.

There are plenty of reasons why speeding is bad. First and foremost, it's dangerous, and increases your chances of getting into a run-off-road accident. It's also dangerous to the planet -- driving at high speeds and accelerating too quickly burns excess fuel.

To conserve fuel, it's better to drive slowly (optimum engine efficiency is around 55mph), and accelerate and brake slowly. The opposite of "sporty" driving.

How many miles can your car travel on a single tank of gas? How many miles do you think an ultra-efficient plug-in hybrid could drive on a single charge, and a single tank? It all depends on the vehicle's fuel economy, and tank size.

For some reason, most respondents of a 2016 Harris Poll believed the top-end range of a plug-in hybrid was a mere 261 miles, despite sky-high fuel economy…
